ºÚÁÏÕýÄÜÁ¿ elections are on the horizon, but there’s still time for members to declare or be nominated as candidates to attend the or be elected to ºÚÁÏÕýÄÜÁ¿â€™s Board of Directors.
2025 NEA Representative Assembly
January 24 is the deadline for would-be delegates to the 2025 NEA RA in Portland, Ore., July 2-6 to send their paperwork to ºÚÁÏÕýÄÜÁ¿ President Layne McInelly. This year, Idaho is expected to send approximately 15 statewide delegates. The final statewide election to select delegates will be held online Feb. 12-20. All ºÚÁÏÕýÄÜÁ¿ members will receive an online ballot via email.
Individual ºÚÁÏÕýÄÜÁ¿ locals are also eligible to send delegates to RA. Anyone interested in representing their local at RA should talk to their local union president.
ºÚÁÏÕýÄÜÁ¿ Board of Directors Election
February 3 is the deadline for members to declare or be nominated as a candidate for the the ºÚÁÏÕýÄÜÁ¿ Board of Directors during the 2025 election cycle. Ten seats on the board will be on the ballot during the statewide election April 23-May 1. Nominees for board seats now being accepted include:
- NEA Director (Idaho’s representative on the NEA board)
- At-Large
- Retired
- Aspiring Educator
- Region 1 (Coeur d’Alene area)
- Region 3 (Payette/McCall/Middleton areas)
- Region 5 (Pocatello area)
- Region 7 – two seats (Boise area)
- Region 8 (Nampa/Caldwell/Mountain Home area)
- Region 9 (West Ada)
All ºÚÁÏÕýÄÜÁ¿ members will receive an online ballot via email for this spring’s election.
